Deeping St James C.P. School

Inspire to learn, achieve together

Admissions

Children in Lincolnshire are entitled to start school at the beginning of the academic year (1st September – 31st August) in which they are 5 years old. At Deeping St James Community Primary School we have a one-term entry and admit children into our stimulating and child centre Reception class in the September of the year in which they are 5 years old. However parents do have the option of their child starting school in the term after they reach 5.

Each school is only able to admit a certain number of children in each year group, the Local Education Authority determining this, and at Deeping St James CP School it is currently 30. Our school uses the admissions policy of Lincolnshire County Council. This is detailed in 'Going to School in Lincolnshire' which is issued to all parents.
