Deeping St James C.P. School

Inspire to learn, achieve together

Admissions

Children in Lincolnshire are entitled to start school at the beginning of the academic year (1st September – 31st August) in which they are 5 years old; however, parents do have the option of their child starting school after the term they turn 5 years old. At Deeping St James Community Primary School, we have a one-form entry, and admit children into our stimulating and child centred Reception class. You can find out more on what to expect when your child joins us in Reception by taking a look at their class page.

Each school is only able to admit a certain number of children in each year group, this is known as ‘PAN’ (Published Admissions Number) and is determined by the Local Education Authority. At Deeping St James Community Primary School, our current PAN stands at 30. Our school uses the admissions policy of Lincolnshire County Council. This is detailed in 'Going to School in Lincolnshire' which is issued to all parents, and can be found below, along with our admissions policy, as well as how to apply & appeal for a school place. For information on how your application(s) will be processed, please read the co-ordination schemes linked below.
