Spanish is taught in KS2.
The curriculum encompasses on greetings, classroom vocabulary and a range of topics from pets and family to food and drink.
Children also learn about cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries.
Children learn to use all four skills in their Spanish and learn through class and paired speaking, songs, games and written work to consolidate learning.
The children's Spanish skills will be assessed informally during lesson time and in their books.
