Welcome to year 6
This year's year 6 have settled in really well with socially distanced learning. Things are very different at the moment but they have adapted to it exceptionally well.
Mrs Duffy: This is my 12th year at the school and my 8th year in year 6. I am now teaching in the classroom every morning and one afternoon. I cover all the maths and English plus art/DT and one lesson of PE.
Mrs Seaton: I am new to DSJ this year. I am teaching three afternoons a week. I cover science, topic, RE, PSHE and one lesson of PE.
Mrs Grant teaches music and Mrs Emery teaches Spanish on Thursday afternoon.
We are supported in the classroom by Mrs Merriman this year as our TA.
We believe in creating a fun, safe learning atmosphere where the children feel valued, respected and challenged. It is important to us that year 6 children enjoy their last year in primary and are motivated to try and achieve their absolute best to ensure they are confident and secondary school ready.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or worries.
